28,000 LBS of flagstone, our excavator and plenty of tools have been delivered to start a Japanese inspired, natural, flagstone patio and seating area in the highlands of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Our clients returned home after over a decade of life in Austin TX. Originally from the area, they decided it was time to escape to the rapid growth of Austin and return to the tranquility PA to raise their two children. Being heavily influenced by mid century modern art as well as Japanese culture, our clients found a home perfectly suited to their style. The house was slightly neglected by previous owners and was in need of some tender care. Currently many upgrades have been made to return the house to immaculate status. Much of the work being done by the homeowners themselves.
Our role is to marry the indoor, naturally designed living space to the outdoors just beyond a vast area of thin glass.
Despite being late in the season and high on the ridge, this artistic project brings special meaning to our creative energy. Looking forward to sharing progress on this meaningful project. Stay tuned!
